It is April and that means everyone is blogging and thinking about the 100 year anniversary of the titanic (they are on my feed anyway).

I have much to post about at the costume blog and am hoping that I will get some time to do so over Easter, whilst also making lots of stuff and cleaning my house.

But in the meantime, I thought I would just pop this up here as a taster teaser of a future post.

I am having guest over for the weekend and am planning to do a weekend of food as eaten on board the doomed ship. There will be more but for now I shall leave you with the menu for Saturday nights grand dinner, which is the final meal eaten on 14 April 1912 by the First Class passengers:

Having read that I am (aside from being upset at missing out) wondering if it was really all the iceburg's fault. That much food ever night would sink a battleship!

that was just dinner. the breakfast and lunches were also epic! The portions are much smaller than we are used to though.

10 Course dinner!

I'm guessing they were tiny servings for the women can't imagine eating all that
in a corset!

Cool idea though :)

this was the new line corset though - it was underbust and more like a girdle designed to fall over the hips and create a waterfall effect with the over dresses.

thanks hun!
